Bavina Cars to outsource 80 per cent components for its proposed plug-in hybrid car

Chennai-based Bavina Cars India Limited (BCIL), which has recently received the allotment letter for its battery-powered car plant in Ranipet industrial area in Tamil Nadu, will now be outsourcing 80 per cent of its components for its proposed plug-in series hybrid passenger car. BCIL has committed to invest Rs. 300 crore in this project, import transmissions from BorgWarner in the US and outsource sheet metal parts from Caparo and motors from Bosch and Siemens.

Motorsports Design Contest - Amara Raja 'Funk my Ride'

The Amara Raja Group, manufacturers of Amaron industrial and automotive batteries, has been promoting motorsports in India by organizing competitions and races, and offering scholarships, endorsements etc. on a regular basis.
